MPC ltd

Maritime Petroservice Contractors Limited formerly Mediterranean Production Company Limited called MPC was created in 2000 in the UK as a company providing operating and management services to offshore floating production storage and offloading systems.
At its inception, the company had won two contracts, the first for the design, conversion and installation of an FPSO on the Isis Field offshore Tunisia, and the second for the future operation and maintenance of the FPSO. The client for both contracts was Coparex BV the field operator on behalf of the co-venture partners Atlantis Holding and ETAP.
To execute the design and build contract, formed a UK based project team comprised of key company personnel recruited from the UK oil & gas industry based in Aberdeen, supplemented by specialist subcontractors in naval architecture, process engineering design and mooring analysis.
The key features of the contract were fast-track and low cost utilising the novel Tripod catenary Mooring System (TCMS).
The FPSO was successfully installed on the Isis field in November 2001 and an operating uptime in excess of 99.5% from first oil was achieved. Much of this success was due to the quality and experience of the project team assembled by MPC.
