SAROST’s Offshore Vessels Division charters, manages, and operates offshore support vessels – owned by SAROST or by third party ship owners - to provide the following services:

  • Towing
  • Anchor handling
  • Supplying
  • Drilling Support
  • Production Support
  • Anti-pollution at sea
  • Fire fighting at sea
  • Salvage at sea

SAROST owns and operates a fleet of five Offshore vessels specifically built for the offshore oil industry. The “SAROST 5”, the most recent acquisition, was designed by Wartsila and built by Nam Cheong Dockyard – Miri - Malaysia. It is a 60m D.P.1/ FIFI1 A.H.T.S. Vessel with 75 tons bollard pull. The “ASHTART” is another of SAROST’s supply vessels. It was built by the FALKENBERG shipyard in SWEDEN. It is FIFI 1, and has a total engine output of 4400 bhp and 40 tons bollard pull. The “ISIS” was built by the CHANTIERS ET ATELIERS LAPERRIERE shipyard in FRANCE. It is FIFI 1 with a total engine output of 3400 bhp and 38 tons bollard pull. SAROST also owns two Fast Rescue Boats, one FRB 6.70m long with a capacity of 15 persons, and one FRB 4.85 m long with a capacity of 8 persons. All vessels are ISM, ISPS and BV certified.
                                                                                                                         
All SAROST crew members, officers and ratings, are certified as per S.T.C.W. convention. Most are experienced and well trained, and regularly undergo to update and complete their know-how.


In accordance with Tunisian law, SAROST is also registered with the Tunisian Marine Marchande as a ship owner under N°01.002.96. SAROST is registered as a ship broker under N°06.004.96, as a ship manager under N°08.005.01, and as an assistance and salvage company under N ° 09.002.96. These registrations allow SAROST more flexibility to satisfy the needs of its clients.


SAROST is also a member of the INTERNATIONAL MARINE CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION (IMCA)’s Marine Division, and, as a member, acts actively to contribute to the improvement of safety conditions at sea.

SAROST plans to obtain ISO certification by 2nd quarter 2011.
